On the move!

Lexa was moved to Rochester General Hospital today. She'll be in good hands there. It's one step closer to coming home! Also, she's getting so big. She weighed in at 4lbs. 4.5 oz. That's up 2 oz. Yay! Take care in your new (temporary) home little one.

Squirrel Feet!

We have always joked around with Joy about how she has long skinny "squirrel-like" feet. Well, it looks like Alexa is following in Mommy's "footsteps". Ha, Ha. :-)

More of Alexa

Lexi had a great night last night. She took two of her feedings by bottle and drank the whole thing. And...she had no "events" to speak of. Closer and closer to coming home.

More pictures of beautiful Alexa

Here's a nice picture that I found on my hard drive of Alexa. It was taken just the other night when Joy and her mom where with her most of the night. I think that it's so pretty I just had to post it.

The Big 4.0!

Lexi gained another couple of ounces today and officially reached the 4.0 pound mark! Yeah! She's getting bigger and bigger. Overall she's doing really well over at Strong. Daddy and all 3 of her brothers went to visit her yesterday. Noah was allowed to go in and see her but the 2 little ones weren't quite old enough. When Ryan turns 3 in a few weeks he'll be allowed in the back to see her in person!

Lexi's First Bath!

Last night Joy gave Alexa her first bath. She loved it. She was smiling and moving around and cooing. I was home putting the boys to bed. But Grandma Cathy was there. She's getting so big. She's already 18.5 in. long. Way to go Lex!

First Sentence!

Jake spoke his first sentence today! Mommy asked him where his little bear had gone. (He usually throws it out of his crib each morning when he wake's up.) He pointed to the floor and said, "There it is."

Swing and a miss!

Swing and a miss!
Noah was a little off in tonight's game. I think that he was a little tired.

More T-Ball Fun!

Noah had another game tonight. We played the Mets. Everyone was able to attend. Even Mommy! Yeah! Noah played catcher for one of the innings.

Noah plays T-Ball

Well, it's Baseball time again and Noah is playing T-Ball for the first time. He plays in the Greece Little League for the Devil Rays. He's doing great and seems to really have a knack for the game. (Despite little help from dear old Dad). Anyway even though it's T-Ball they actually pitch to the kids before pulling out the Tee if necessary. Noah's first time at bat, he got a hit! He really cracked it into right field between the 1st and 2nd base line. Way to go Noah! He has games every Tuesday and Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. until the middle of June.

Jake fell down the stairs... :-(

Well, little Jakey has fallen down the stairs. His walking adventures have just begun and now he's been laid up with a cast. Poor little guy. Jake recently discovered that he could (quite easily) get around the gate that I set up at the bottom of our stair case. He discovered the hard way that when you climb stairs, you have the potential to also fall down those stairs. We took him to get and X-Ray and then get fitted for a cast. It will be off in about 3 weeks though. And "Poopy Do" will be up and at 'em again.

Alexa Joy Potter is born!

Well, this post is about 2 weeks late. But, I just recently set up this blog so sorry for the delay. Alexa Joy Potter was born 8 weeks pre-mature on May 9th, 2006 at 9:15 a.m. She weighed in at 3lbs. 13 oz. when she was born and she measured 17 inches long. She's currently taking up residence at the NICU Nursery at Strong and doing just fine. She taking just about 1 ounce of milk each feeding now and she's fed every 3 hours. Mommy Joy spends quite a bit of her time over there. She's been feeding her and taking the best care of her. Of course, Grandma, Aunt Alicia and Papa Joe have all been to visit her many times. She gets lots of vistors. I'm pretty sure she's going to know who each and every one of us is when she comes home. Also, she's gained about 10 oz. these past 15 days or so. So now, she weighs almost 4 lbs. again (3 lbs. 10 oz.). She lost a little bit of her birth weight initally.

Ba Boo!

Ba Boo. This is one of Jake's favorite words. We think that it has come to mean many different things. "Bottle", "Bye- Bye", "More..." So, I've started to call him "Ba Boo" alot. He has his other nickname though "Poopy Do". Of course all of the other kids have strange nick names too like "Boo Bah" for Noah and "Tinky Winky" for Ryan. Our poor kids!

Alexa Joy Potter is born - May 9th, 2006

This picture was actually taken a few days after her birth. The first Potter "Girl" baby. Mom is happy and home recovering fine. As for Lexi, she's had to spend some time in a special nursery at Strong Hospital. They are taking great care of her and we hope that she'll be home with us real soon....

A day with Thomas and Friends...

Today Ryan and his friend Braydon went on a train ride with Thomas the Train and Sir Toppem Hat. The two of them had a great day even though it was a little rainy.
